Opua Marina
Bay of Islands, New ZealandCome in and meet the friendly staff in the Opua Marina Office...........
The office is now located on the first floor of the new Marina Building which also houses the FNHL offices, the Marina Café, Laundromat, insurance and brokerage as well as a hairdresser. Jane, Marilyn, Sean, Holly and Puggsy will do their best to make your stay un-forget-able.
Whether you require a berth, swing or pile mooring to rent, boatyard services, haulout and hardstand, information on the area, purchasing a berth, renting or buying a car, specialised trades-people, charts, arranging cash, taxi's, bus tickets, flags, fuel or duty free fuel, secure car parking, storage units the list just goes on....and we got it all...
Just ask and they'll be happy to oblige, they are jack-of-all-trades
and
THEY LOVE THEIR JOBS !
Or maybe you just want a plain old good laugh, these gals (and guys) will make your day, and your stay, one you will never regret (or forget) come up and have a chat - and don't forget to sign their guest book !
If you have just arrived in New Zealand and need to get somewhere in a hurry or are a stranded holiday maker, then you have come to the right place - being the local Northliner bus agents, we will be able to book and organise your trips as quick as a flash [the jokes are quick as well]
Meet the staff that will welcome you to our paradise
Jane: Long timer - has been here since the place
opened. Spent 10 years in Amsterdam and decided to come home to
roost.
Memory like an elephant (watch out, she'll remember you and what you did or didn't do).
Marilyn: (she's Australian, so we'll excuse her straight
away)
Married a kiwi bloke and was dragged across the Tasman over 28 years ago - still teaching her to speak Kiwi - ask her to say the letter "H".
Sean: Has a heart of gold but is originally from Dargaville
(which explains some things about him but not all), he’s the token
male of the office so if anything goes wrong he gets the blame.
Holly: The newest addition to the team so take it easy
on her. Has come back to the Bay after many years away working in the
marine tourism industry in the Fiji Islands and the Whitsundays (may still
be on island time).
Puggsy: (Eric as his wife calls him) is our man-about-town,
he keeps the place afloat (so to speak) keeps it looking nice and clean
for our visitors. He disposes of the quarantine rubbish from offshore
vessels and makes the most amazing inventions to make life easier for
us all (loves a good chin-wag too) bit of a smart cookie actually (don't
tell him though)
Together this team is dangerous and highly efficient...
If you forget to bring your sense of humour you could be in trouble here!
