Opua Marina

Opua Wharf Marina is located alongside the main Opua wharf and has space for up to 10 various size yachts up to 50 metres.
The NZ$1.5 million extension to the main wharf was the first stage in plans by Far North Holdings Ltd to fully develop the Opua Wharf area and a step towards the overall development of Opua as a servicing and support centre for visiting recreational boats.
The 162 metres of berth space was also a reflection of the commitment Far North Holdings Ltd has to the protection of water quality in Bay of Islands.
The wharf berths include individual sewage pump-out facilities, power, water and telephone services. The walkways are wider than normal to accommodate the needs of larger and heavier vessels.
A new shower and toilet block has also been constructed midway down the wharf for visiting vessels and for the general public.
Far North Holdings Ltd are committed to developments that are environmentally compatible and sensitive to the aspirations of the community.
